Refund Policy

Last updated: June 2, 2026

The short version

If you're a consumer, you have 14 days to change your mind and cancel for a refund, no reason needed. Beyond that, if Screentour isn't working out, email us and we'll sort it out fairly. Every refund is paid back through Paddle, which also reverses any tax.

Your 14-day right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the EU, the law gives you a 14-day right of withdrawal (Widerruf) when you take out a paid plan (§§ 312g, 355 BGB). You can cancel the contract within 14 days of subscribing, for any reason or none, and get your money back.

To withdraw, use the withdrawal button in your account settings, or tell us in any other clear way, by email or using the model form below. A plain message such as "I am withdrawing from my Screentour subscription" is enough, and you don't have to use the form. The 14 days are counted from the day the contract is concluded.

Digital services start right away. Screentour is a digital service that starts as soon as you subscribe. At checkout, Paddle asks you to confirm two things. First, that you want access to begin straight away. Second, that you understand you'll lose the full-refund part of your withdrawal right once we've completely performed the service. That consent is normal, and it lets you start using Screentour immediately.

The practical effect is set by § 357 BGB.

  • If you withdraw within 14 days and haven't really started using the paid features, you get a full refund.
  • If you withdraw within 14 days after access has begun, you get a refund minus a proportionate amount for the time you actually had access. On a €10 per seat monthly plan, a few days of access is only a couple of euros.

Your statutory warranty rights for digital services are separate from this and are not affected.

Model withdrawal form

You can copy this, fill it in, and send it to us. Using it is optional, since any clear statement works.

I/We () hereby give notice that I/We () withdraw from my/our (*) contract for the supply of the following service: Screentour subscription

Ordered on () / received on (): ____________________ Name of consumer(s): ____________________ Address of consumer(s): ____________________ Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is sent on paper): ____________________ Date: ____________________

(*) Delete as appropriate.

A German-language version of this form is available on request. You can also email us in either language.

How refunds are paid

Because Paddle is our Merchant of Record, refunds are paid back through Paddle to your original payment method. Paddle automatically reverses any VAT or sales tax that was charged, so the amount that comes back to you is right.

One practical limit comes from the card networks. A refund can usually only go back to the original card for about 120 days. If your payment is older than that, we'll still make you whole by another route, such as account credit or a bank transfer.

Our refund promise beyond the law

The 14-day right above is the legal minimum. We try to do better, in the spirit of treating you the way we'd want to be treated. The following is our goodwill rather than a legal right, and we decide it case by case.

  • Charged for a month you didn't use? If you meant to cancel and a renewal slipped through, tell us and we'll refund it. No fuss.
  • Leaving and unhappy? If Screentour didn't work out and you're on your way out, email us and we'll refund you. We won't nickel-and-dime you over it.
  • Prefer to stay? If you're sticking around, we can put account credit on your subscription instead of a cash refund.
  • Just cancelling normally? A plain cancellation runs to the end of your paid period. You keep full access until then, so you receive everything you paid for. We don't refund the remaining time. See the Cancellation Policy.

Whatever we decide as goodwill, your statutory rights above stay fully intact.

Changing plans or seats mid-month

  • Adding a seat is charged pro-rata, so you pay only for the part of the month that's left.
  • Removing a seat is credited back on your next invoice, so you're never charged twice for a seat you've dropped.
  • Switching plans, for example Pro to Unlimited, takes effect right away, and Paddle adjusts the charge for the rest of the period.

Switching to a different plan is also the moment a new price could apply. See the Terms.
